What prepares the ground for the above survey includes substantive features specific to intellectual properties that causes the means for revocation of intellectual property contracts in some cases to be independent from contracts for transfer of material property. In fact, non-material nature of intellectual properties as well as features such as its being two dimensional result in distinction of intellectual property contracts from material property contracts with respect to some of the revocation ways. Therefore, considering the importance of intellectual property and increasing prevalence of relevant contracts in the society as well as the need to clarify the regulations governing this group of contracts especially with respect to revocation, efforts were made to study the general regulations for cancellation of contracts and to consider special features of intellectual property in order to study the scope of inclusion of those regulations in intellectual property contracts that include two aspects, namely definite Assignment contract and License agreement.
